This vintage boy's celebration silk kimono has a fabulous scene of a hero Yoshitsune who won a victory at Battle of Dannoura in the sea. The famous story is he jumped from one boat to the another to move away the enemy's attack called hassou-tobi. Battle Hero has five mons (family crests). The symbol of the mon is maru ni gohon bone ogi (five-ribs-fan in a circle) .
The outline of his kabuto helmet has highlights of gold-couching and embroidery for his fighting shoe straps. Battle Hero is a fantastic piece.
The kimono has some stains and certain wear but as a whole, it is in good condition. Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
Note: This kimono does not come with a belt. If you would like one, please check my casual obi collection on casual-obi-belt.html. Prices start from £8 or £10 for a belt.
