This is a women's chirimen (crepe) silk jyuban (underkimono) which has a soft and smooth touch in good quality silk with botan (peony), matsu (pine), momiji (maple), tachibana (mandarin orange), itomaki (spool) and Kanoko (dapple) pattern jacquard design all over in fantastic oriental red. It has gorgeous hand embroidery with floral pattern on the collar. The lapel is hiro-eri (wide lapel) and the lining is in oriental red silk.
It would be stunning to wear as a dress and also as a decorative art piece for a room. Red Lantern is a glamorous and attractive antique piece.
It has certain wear and some flaws including marks on the collar, but as a whole it is in a good condition for the age. Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
