This is a fantastic antique indigo cotton han-jyuban (half length underkimono) with stylish indigo blue colour palette contrast and some kasuri 絣 ikat patchworks. The han-jyuban is quite light weight so very comfortable to wear. The han-jyuban is well worn. It is considered to be c.1910s - 1930s. It is such a wonderful attractive antique indigo piece. I love it.The jacket has two side slits at the bottom.
It would be stunning to use as a jacket and also display as a wonderful piece of art for a room.
It has certain wear and flaws including marks and small holes. However it is such a amazing piece! I guess the original owner of the jacket loved it very much. Enjoy real antique folk textile taste of Japan! Please check the detailed photos.
