It is a piece of a fabric - size is 249cm X 83 cm.
This highly collectable piece of fabric was designed as a lining of a haori kimono jacket but never used in a jacket. It is a beautifully preserved example of the graphic sexual imagery detailed in Shunga kimonos.
It is not easy to tell the age of Shunga items like those but it seems to be c. 1930s before WWⅡ. The silk is much better quality than modern silk because of the quality of cocoon. The fabric is a real order made from the beginning of sketch design then dyed as personal order.
It would be stunning to display as a decorative piece for a room.
