This is a fantastic antique Chuya obi. The Chuya obi is a lined obi made by sewing together two pieces of cloth over a stiff lining. The Chuya means 'day and night' so chuya obi is called from the combination of bright and dark colours.
This obi has an enchanting light pink roses design all over that is partly embroidered. I really love the colour and design. Definitely one of my favourite pieces. The other side has a classic Japanese floral design and yagasuri (arrow ikat) pattern. Dew Drop is a really attractive antique obi.
It has some flaws and certain wear including stains and frays. However it is such a amazing piece. I guess the original owner of the obi loved it very much. Please check the detailed photos.
