This is a fantastic women’s indigo hand-stitched Roketsuzome ろうけつ染 Batik cotton and Asa 麻 (hemp) blend yukata kimono. It has lovely bold refreshing floral motif pattern all over. The indigo navy blue of the background is very dark which is almost like black.
The kimono has a lovely original crispy and refreshing touch of hemp. Lantern Festival is a wonderful antique piece.
The kimono is quite long. Please check the measurement. You may need to have a bit of tuck at your waist with this length of kimono unless you are very tall. You can adjust the length by using a koshihimo (a cord tied around the waist of a womans kimono to hold it in place). Koshihimo is available for £4. Please ask for more details.
It has certain wear and some marks, but as a whole, it is in good condition for the age. Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'
