This is a very attractive women's red silk haori kimono jacket which has enchanting hand painted white and golden yellow botan (peony) design. Some parts of the flowers are embroidered with gold-couching.
It has fabulous picture of the story like Genji monogatari (Tale of Genji) or Makura no Soshi (The Pillow Book ) from the era - Heian period in the lining.
It would be fantastic as a jacket and display as a great decorative art piece for a room. Chelsea Girl is a wonderful vintage piece.
