This hand-stitched women's cotton hippari farmers work jacket has stylish koshi 格子 (checked) pattern. It has a wrap-over front with a tie closure inside and has rubber band at the cuff.
The jacket, typical of Japanese folkwear, is slightly starched and will soften after a couple of hand washes in cold water.
It has Tsumugi (pongee) like texture. Tumugi is a less expensive silk hand spun from textured floss, which was derived from leftover silk cocoons.
