This is a women’s chirimen crepe silk jyuban underkimono which has a soft and smooth touch in good quality silk with fantastic red coloured design of traditional technique of ‘Tegumo Shibori’ tie dyed in off-white background. I really love the design ♡
This technique is originally comes from Arimatsu where one of the most famous place of Shibori tie dyed. The pattern looks like spiderwebs as be called ‘Tegumo’ (‘Kumo’ means spider in Japanese). The lining is golden beige silk.
It would be fabulous to use as a dress and also display as a great piece of art for a room. Kaleidoscope is a very attractive vintage piece.
It has certain wear and some flaws including marks in the lining, but as a whole, it is in good condition for the age. Please check the detail photos and 'Extra Images'.
