This is a girl's silk blend kimono with charming kiku (chrysanthemum), matsu (pine) and colourful flower motif design with oriental red and black vivid abstract pattern. Some designs are partly decorated with pressed golden copper metallic leaf. It has a bachi-eri (folded lapel). The top lining is in ivory silk and the bottom is in pale pink synthetic.
I love the design and colour of the kimono. It would be stunning to wear and also display as a decorative piece for a room. Love Me Do is a super charming piece.
As you can see the measurements on the website, it isn't a very wide sized kimono. I'm usually a UK size 8 - 10. The kimono only just closes at the front on me. The sleeves are a little bit short but I don't personally think you need to worry about that much.
Also this kimono is quite long. You may need to have a bit of tuck at your waist with this length of kimono unless you are very tall. You can adjust the length by using a koshihimo (a cord tied around the waist of a womans kimono to hold it in place). Koshihimo is available for £4. Please ask for more details.
The model is about 157cm (5’2”).
It has certain wear and marks. However even so this is such an attractive vintage kimono ♡ Please check the detail photos and the 'Extra Images'.
