This is a women’s red knisha (fine crepe) silk kimono which has a soft and smooth touch in good quality silk with charming and cute Mochihana design I love. Mochihana is the decoration for New Year in Japan which is decorated branches with mochi rice cake, to wish for good health and good harvest for the year.
I try to show you as accurate colours as possible but it's not always easy in a photo so the real colour might be slightly different from the pictures. I personally think the real colour is much prettier. It is so-called hitoe (single lining), which means it has no lining. It would be so lovely to use as a dress and also display as a wonderful piece of art for a room. Mochihana is a very attractive vintage piece.
It has certain wear including marks, but as a whole, it is in pretty good condition for the age. Please check the detail photos and 'Extra Images'.
