This antique women’s silk kimono has an enchanting floral and shikishi (design board) pattern in a pretty pink. The flowers are botan (peony), kiku (chrysanthemum), ume (plum) and tachibana (mandarin orange). It has a classic floral jacquard design.
The textile is kinsha (fine crepe) silk which is soft and smooth touch in good quality. It has a bachi-eri (folded lapel). The lining of the top main part is in red silk and the bottom part is in pale orange silk.
The kimono would be stunning to use as a dress and also display as a fabulous piece of art for a room. Spring Story is a really charming antique piece.
It has certain wear and some flaws including marks and discolouring, but as a whole it is in a good condition for the age. Please check detail photos and 'Extra Images'.
Note: This kimono does not come with a belt. If you would like one, please check my casual obi collection on casual-obi-belt.html. Prices start from £8 or £10 for a belt.
