This women’s ro silk summer kimono has design of kikyo (Chinese bellflower), susuki (Japanese pampas grass) and asagao (morning glory) in fans in cool refreshing light blue. It is so-called hitoe (single lining), which means it has no lining.
The texture of the kimono is so smooth and light which is a good quality silk. It has a bachi-eri (folded lapel). The kimono would be stunning to use as a dress and also display as a fabulous piece of art for a room. The Lightness of Being is a fantastic antique piece.
The model is about 157cm (5’2”).
This kimono is quite long. Please check the measurement. You may need to have a bit of tuck at your waist with this length of kimono unless you are very tall. You can adjust the length by using a koshihimo (a cord tied around the waist of a womans kimono to hold it in place). Koshihimo is available for £4. Please ask for more details.
It has certain wear and some flaws including marks and a tiny hole on the top of the back left shoulder. Please check detail photos and 'Extra Images'.
Note: This kimono does not come with a belt. If you would like one, please check my casual obi collection on casual-obi-belt.html. Prices start from £7 or £8 for a belt.
